For its “challenge toward making ever-better cars,” Toyota returned in 2017 to the WRC, the pinnacle of rally. Serving as ace driver is the Finnish driver Jari-Matti Latvala. And what Latvala takes the wheel of is the Yaris WRC, based on the Yaris (Japanese name: Vitz), which Toyota developed to drive through the world’s harshest roads. Together with “Ratoba,” Latvala’s alter ego dressed as a samurai, we express in animation and live action the figure of Latvala steering the Yaris WRC and battling the “demons” lurking in the race.
