SUNTORY｜YAMAZAKI MOMENTS
Expressing the Yamazaki distillery’s dedication through spectacular footage and novel-like columns.
We planned and produced “YAMAZAKI MOMENTS” for Suntory’s Yamazaki Distillery.
The Yamazaki Distillery sits in Yamazaki, at the foot of Mt. Tenno. This video content started from the idea of letting whisky fans who can’t join a distillery tour — due to reservation availability or distance — touch Yamazaki’s dedication and the texture of the distillery. It emotionally introduces whisky-making through a main film built around the production process and columns that link from the footage.
To match Yamazaki, which values “time” — history, the maturation period of whisky, the production process — we gave the interface a design that mimics a clock.
The film was directed by Sojiro Kamatani of Qotori film. The music was created by the musician Jun Miyake.
