Composing the office’s stance
as a “scattered unity.”

We planned and produced the website for “SUPPOSE DESIGN OFFICE,” the architectural design office led by architects Makoto Tanijiri and Ai Yoshida. Through several months of conversation, centered on Chihiro Serizawa — a mount alumna — we defined what SUPPOSE DESIGN OFFICE does, and what should be conveyed: connecting place and movement to create situations; connecting conditions and ideas to create value; connecting architecture and the world to create scenery; connecting people and people to create chemical reactions — and we arrived at the phrase “a scattered unity.” We kept the composition and design simple, so that the projects and the office’s people appear at the center. We connect the various elements that make up a project with a “+,” and replace the answer with an “=,” using these as design accents, devising ways to show the photographs large and clearly on each device.
